For analytical purposes, we use the Matomo tool, which helps us collect anonymised data about website traffic and visitor behaviour.
Analytical cookies:
- _pk_id.* – validity: 13 months – recognises a visitor on repeated visits (contains an anonymous ID).
- _pk_ses.* – validity: 30 minutes – maintains the session for analytical measurement purposes.
- _pk_ref.* – validity: 6 months – stores information about the source of the visit (for example, which page you came from).
- _pk_cvar.* – validity: 30 minutes – stores custom visitor variables for analytics.
- _pk_testcookie – validity: until the browser is closed – verifies whether the browser supports cookies.
- MATOMO_SESSID – validity: 14 days – internal identification of the Matomo session.
- pk_hsr – validity: 30 minutes – relates to the Heatmap function in Matomo and is used to temporarily store visitor session data for analytical purposes. Heatmap anonymously shows us which areas of the website visitors click on most often or where they scroll. This allows us to improve the clarity and usability of the website.
- pk_uid – validity: 13 months – enables anonymous recognition of repeated visits by the same visitor across sessions and devices so that we can evaluate website traffic and use and improve the content of our websites.
- MatomoAbTesting – validity: until the visitor deletes the data themselves, the browser deletes it automatically, or it is deleted by the websites / Matomo script. It helps compare different versions of pages (for example, different buttons or page layouts) so that we can determine which version is clearer and works better for visitors.
Functional cookies:
- geo_redirected – validity: 1 hour – language setting based on location, which is not stored.
- PHPSESSID – validity: until the browser is closed – internal identification of the web session.
- mtm_consent_removed – validity: 12 months – records that the visitor has refused analytical tracking. This means we do not need to ask for this choice again on every visit.
- mtm_cookie_consent – validity: 12 months – stores information about consent granted for analytical cookies so that it does not need to be requested again on every visit.
The asterisk (*) means that the cookie name is supplemented by a unique identifier.
We use only necessary (functional) cookies. We use the Etracker tool in cookie-free mode, i.e. we do not use marketing or analytical cookies.

Our website www.chiochips.cz uses the Matomo tool in on-premise mode, i.e. operated on our own servers in the EU. Data is not sent to any third parties or outside the European Union. Therefore, no transfer of data outside the EU takes place.
